80% of our staff are women, and they play an active role in planning and design, which is the core of a manufacturing company. Furthermore, in the industry, manufacturing sites where men were the norm have been transformed to a system centered on women, and with their delicate sensibilities and skills, they are responsible for producing the products delivered to customers on a daily basis.
People with physical and intellectual disabilities and their families are faced with the problem of not having a place to work and being unable to live a normal life. In order to realize continuous employment that will help solve this problem, we are renovating some facilities and systems at the exclusive factory in which Iwasa has invested, with a view to starting hiring in the spring of 2023.
In order to protect the global environment, we want to use materials that are as environmentally and socially considerate as possible, so we use used or recycled paper for storage boxes, cardboard boxes used for delivery, etc. I'm using.
Iwasa's formal bags mainly consist of a ``core material'' that gives shape and maintains strength, and a ``fabric'' that covers the surface and creates functions such as water repellency and design. We use renewable materials for almost all of our core materials, and the fabrics used in most of our products are environmentally friendly materials that are FSC-COC certified and Biomass Mark certified.
As mass production and mass waste become a problem, our company places importance on making what is needed in the amount needed, and to achieve this, we specialize in manufacturing in Japan. Because each product is handmade by craftsmen, we eliminate wasteful use of resources, including materials, and contribute to preserving the natural environment.
