Message

In this ever-changing era,
What we continue to value is the "handmade" aspect of our products.

The culture of craftsmanship that has been passed down in Osaka and the skills of Japanese craftsmen who make things by hand must not be extinguished.
This is where we started.

IWASA products are made by hand by craftsmen one by one in Japan.
This trend has continued unchanged for 95 years.

Here in Osaka, there is a culture of making sandals and a culture of making bags.
I strongly believe that this fire must not be put out.

Our dream is to provide all our customers with a "satisfaction" experience as we move forward into the next 100 years.

Iwasa Corporation President and CEO Koji Iwasa

The shape is a traditional trapezoid, which is the most popular choice among Iwasa customers. The deep black color and silky smooth luster are appealing, and Iwasa confidently recommends this material for special occasions. The surface is quilted for a three-dimensional look. The camellia motif, although unscented, has an overwhelming presence and its flower language is "humble virtue" and "unpretentious elegance." Along with the beautiful finish, it is filled with Iwasa's thoughts and hopes for the craftsmanship that they aim for.

Suitable for various formal occasions. Easy to open and close with built-in magnet. Clean Coat (water-repellent, oil-repellent, antibacterial, anti-fungal).

Formal SandalsRitsu and Hibiki

IWASA, which has been making formal wear for a long time, focuses on subtle elegance and comfort.
The key to choosing sandals for formal occasions is to ensure that they complement your gorgeous kimono and obi, and that you are comfortable on the important day.

Sandals (formal type)

It's nice to wear gorgeous sandals to match a gorgeous kimono, but keeping your feet clean will help to complete the overall balance without making the impression heavy. The original dyed base material is a pearlescent silver-white. The straps are made of delicately woven Hakata-ori fabric, creating a gorgeous yet elegant look. IWASA's sandals are designed to help you spend the day in comfort, with a fully double cushioned structure that distributes the pressure on your feet, reducing strain not only on your heels but also on the base of your toes. The soles are made of a non-slip rubber material.

・Slim, three-tiered construction ・Can be worn with formal sleeves ・Elegant straps and base that are not too showy ・Double cushioning on all sides reduces strain on the feet ・Non-slip rubber sole

Echoes

Sandals (formal type)

As we felt the needs of our customers were changing, we created a wide, comfortable IWASA model for formal occasions. The heel height is 6.5cm. This is our most popular size, and is not too low so you can wear it comfortably. In addition, the two-tier construction makes it suitable for a wide range of occasions, from formal to elegant.
The wide type of sandals has a stable design that allows your feet to rest firmly on them. IWASA's sandals have a double cushioning structure on the entire surface, which distributes the weight on your feet and reduces the strain on not only your heels but also the base of your toes. The soles are made of a non-slip rubber material.

- Wide width for easy walking - Suitable for both formal and casual occasions - Elegant straps and base that are not too flashy - Double cushioning on all sides reduces strain on the feet - Rubber sole for non-slip use

As a manufacturer, we have worked with our craftsmen to create better products and have continued to develop formal bags that combine elegance and functionality. Now, to commemorate our 95th anniversary, we are offering a limited edition commemorative formal bag.

2way clutch -HAKATAORI-

2-way formal type

An unchanging, orthodox model that stands out for its high quality materials and craftsmanship. It was designed and developed from scratch, including the shape and materials, to be worn mainly with Tomesode, the most formal Japanese kimono. At Iwasa, we believe that in formal occasions, especially celebratory occasions, the way you express your congratulations, support, and gratitude is as important as the words you use. We use "Hakata-ori," which is attractive for its strength and beauty, born from techniques cultivated over a long history. The high-quality, lustrous silk is given volume in the ground pattern using a technique called Nukitobashi. The distinctive and varied patterns create a gorgeous presence.

Circle Hand -HAKATAORI-

Formal type

The sheen of the gold and silver threads gives the bag a classy weave that is perfect for formal occasions. The impressive circle handle adds an accent to the outfit. The elegant size and the dignified appearance created by the use of a core give it an even more formal feel. The lack of a flap allows for smooth access to items, while the magnet prevents the opening from opening too wide, maintaining the bag's elegant shape.
