Nishijin-ori fabric is woven using silk warp and black and gold weft threads into a raised diamond pattern, and the weaving technique gives it a prism-like sparkle.

It was specially woven by a long-established Nishijin obi manufacturer in Kyoto.
By slowly weaving on an old-fashioned loom, we were able to express the fullness of the fabric, resulting in a bolt of cloth with depth despite being solid black.

Tote bags are easy to use, but customers have expressed concern that items can be seen from above. In response to this, we added fabric to conceal the contents and used an inner magnet that was developed to allow for hassle-free opening and closing by incorporating a magnet inside the fabric.
